Medical Massage in Bursa

Unlike relaxation massage, medical massage is therapeutic massage applied for a specific complaint after an assessment. The physiotherapist assesses muscle tension, tender points and restricted movement, chooses the technique accordingly and usually combines it with an exercise programme. It is not a lasting solution on its own; the real gain comes from the movement and strength work that massage makes easier.

Medical Massage in Bursa Nilüfer

Fzt. Kemran Hafız provides one-to-one care for medical massage at the clinic in Bursa Nilüfer — in Fethiye Mahallesi, on Kelebek Sokak, at a central point of Nilüfer, opposite the Fethiye covered market.

It is a short trip by car or public transport from İhsaniye, Odunluk, Balat, Özlüce, Ataevler, 23 Nisan and the surrounding areas. Every session is one-to-one, assessment-based and tailored to you.

How is medical massage different from relaxation massage?

Both are hands-on techniques; the difference is the aim and the structure. Medical massage targets a complaint, starts with an assessment and is part of a treatment programme.

When does it help?

In muscular pain and tension, especially around the neck and shoulders and the lower back, it can reduce pain and ease movement in the short term. That relief is valuable because it makes starting and continuing exercise easier. Lasting results come from exercise that builds the muscle's capacity, so the programme is not limited to massage.

Massage in neurological conditions

For clients who have been inactive for long periods or use a wheelchair, it can be part of the programme to support soft-tissue flexibility and comfort. It does not reduce increased muscle tone (spasticity) permanently on its own; it is planned together with stretching, positioning and active exercise.

Who should not have it, and when to see a doctor first?

With fever or active infection; swelling, redness and warmth in the calf (suspected clot); an open wound, burn or skin condition over the area; a recent fracture; a bleeding disorder or blood-thinner use; or active cancer treatment, massage is not applied or a physician's opinion is obtained first. These are always asked about during assessment.

Frequently asked questions

How many sessions of medical massage are needed?

It depends on the complaint and the goal. A plan is made at assessment; the share of massage usually decreases as the programme progresses and the share of exercise increases.

Is medical massage painful?

Some pressure may be felt on tight or tender points; the technique is adjusted to your tolerance. Mild tenderness for a day after the session is possible; severe or lasting pain should be reported to the physiotherapist.

Is massage alone enough?

It brings short-term relief but does not prevent recurrence. Lasting results need exercise that builds muscle capacity and changes to daily routine.

Do I need a doctor's referral?

For muscular complaints you can start with an assessment. If you have a report, tests or a physician's recommendation, bring them; if anything at assessment needs a physician's opinion, you will be referred first.
